Feel at home faster

Maine Career Connect helps to ease the stress of moving so you can focus on the adventure.

At Maine Career Connect, we recognize that moving to a new community can be challenging. We work with you to make sure you have everything you need to feel at home in your new home. We offer:

Pre-hire Consultation

During your interview, Maine Career Connect will schedule time to meet with you one-on-one to discuss the area and what it has to offer, how it fits with your lifestyle and to answer any specific questions or address any concerns you may have. If time permits, we’ll take you on a personalized tour of the community to make sure you have everything you need to make an informed decision.

Community Transition Assistance

Maine Career Connect takes the guesswork out of moving to a new area. We offer advice to help you choose the right neighborhood for you, connect you to reputable landlords and knowledgeable realtors and provide a resource guide that tells you everything you need to know about moving to Maine. We host regular social events designed to get you connected to others in the area, send a weekly email of curated event listings tailored to our clients’ interests and meet with you to devise an individualized plan to get you engaged in the community in a meaningful way.

Dual Career Support

Moving to a new area for your partner or spouse’s job doesn’t have to mean that your career is put on hold. Maine Career Connect’s dual career services are designed to help you make professional connections and find work faster. We offer one-on-one career coaching and support to help tailor your experience and skills for the industries and openings in our area, set up professional networking opportunities and strategic informational interviews to give you all the tools you need to succeed in Maine.

MCC Connections

MCC Connections is our social mentoring program, designed to help better root newcomers into the community. We pair each client with a community member based on shared interests. The community connector will be a first point of contact for you and will introduce you to folks in their social circle as well as cool things going on around town that you need to know about.
